Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and Longdog Labs Limited (“LongDog Labs”, “we”, “us”) for the WiFi Sphere website, portal, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Longdog Labs Limited is a company registered in Scotland (SC885356). Registered correspondence: PO Box 14430, Cowdenbeath, KY4 4AF, United Kingdom. WiFi Sphere is a product of LongDog Labs. Contact: [email protected].
2. The Service
WiFi Sphere is a cloud controller for MikroTik guest networks. It lets a company register routers, paste a setup script, manage Wi-Fi names and DHCP, design splash pages, receive router check-in, and see RADIUS sessions. The public site is wifisphere.co.uk. The controller is portal.wifisphere.co.uk.
The Service is provided for business use. You must be authorised to bind the company named on the account.
3. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate company and email details. You are responsible for who you invite and for activity under your company account. Keep sign-in links and devices under your control. Tell us at once if you think the account has been misused.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails to pay, or puts the Service or other customers at risk.
4. Networks, splash pages, and guest information
You decide which MikroTiks to register, what the splash page asks guests for, and how your venue uses that information. Guests connect to your network. The company that owns the network is the data controller for guest splash and session records. LongDog Labs stores that information so you can run the network. We do not use guest records for our own marketing, profiling, or sale.
You must have a lawful basis under UK GDPR for collecting guest details (for example a name or email on the Connect form) and you must show guests your own terms or privacy notice where the law requires it. The splash “Terms” field is your text, not ours.
5. Fees
The plan includes a slot for one MikroTik. Extra slots are £10 a month, shown in the portal and paid through Stripe. The board itself is bought separately, from the store; we do not give hardware away. Archiving a network frees a slot. Fees already paid for a billing period are not refunded if you archive mid-cycle, unless the law requires it. We may change prices on notice before the next billing period.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, attack systems, send spam, impersonate others, or interfere with other customers. Do not attempt to reach another company’s networks, splash pages, or guest records. Do not reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows.
7. Our content and yours
The WiFi Sphere name, mark, software, and documentation belong to LongDog Labs. You keep ownership of your company details, splash designs, and guest records. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that material only to provide the Service.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Routers still need internet, a reachable API-SSL path for deploy, and outbound RADIUS. Maintenance, faults, or events outside our control can interrupt the Service.
9. Liability
The Service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect loss. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under Scots law.
You are responsible for how guests use your Wi-Fi and for the content of your splash pages.
10. Changes and ending the contract
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated terms. You may stop using the Service and ask us to close the company account. We may withdraw features with reasonable notice where we can.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. The courts of Scotland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your place of residence.
