Wi-Fi names

Add SSIDs, set encryption, and pick which DHCP pool each name uses.

  1. Open Wi-Fi on the network page.
  2. The first name is the radio’s own SSID. Add SSID creates a virtual AP (up to eight names).
  3. Choose a DHCP pool for each name. The radio’s pool is the hotspot network. Another name on that pool joins it. A different pool gets its own addresses.
  4. Set encryption. Open needs no password. WPA2 needs a password.
  5. Turning off the radio’s own name hides it. Extra names can be removed. Update Wi-Fi writes the change to the MikroTik.
  6. Pending changes wait until the router takes them. The note above the form shows how many are waiting.
